How to request a GST tax invoice from Uber Eats

At present it’s not so easy to get a tax invoice for a meal purchase on Uber Eats. Here’s how to do it easily.

(Note: this is specifically for an Australian GST tax invoice but it may work for other countries)

Uber advise that to obtain a tax invoice itemising the GST for the meal and delivery components of an Uber Eats purchase, you must lodge a request via their Help facility.

To do this, go to Getting Help from Uber.  You will be required to sign into your account.

Submit a request for a tax invoice corresponding to your Uber Eats order number.  You will subsequently receive a reply with a link to the tax invoice.

Leave a comment below if your experience differs, or if there’s a simpler way to get a tax invoice.

  1. Hi Mikeybear,

I had this issue just now, however I found a resolve without contacting them.

if you want the Tax Invoice, goto the email that you received with the UberEats food summary and itemised pricing.

Then, there is a hyperlink from the words “Visit the trip page” for more information, including invoices (where available). This appears under your email address, under the total price summary.

The link tages you to a special place in your Uber account that contains the tax invoice download link.

    Hope this helps!

  2. I never get an email from Uber Eats. I only get a simple receipt within the app.
I will not order from them again as I need the tax invoice to claim my meal costs

      1. I tried to email that link and was informed that this link is for drivers to ask for help and that I need to log in to my “Delivery partner” account.
The link that LostPumpkin referred to exists, but it says invoices are not available when you click on it. There doesn’t seem to be any way to contact Uber Eats customer service. In fact there doesn’t even seem to be an Uber Eats customer service.
